There are a few small food shops but the nearest supermarket is the Tesco by the motorway junction. For other shopping Folkestone has a wide range of shops. <br /> <h4>Attractions</h4> <br /> In the summer the beach is lovely and never becomes too noisy or crowded. It shelves quite steeply so you do not have to walk to far before you start swimming. It extends all the way to Folkestone which is a pleasant 20 minute walk. <br /> Away from the beach this area of Kent has a wealth of other attractions due to its long history. These include: <br/> " Dover Castle, history from the Normans up to the present day <br/> " Deal and Deal Castle <br/> " Walmer Castle <br/> " Romney Hythe &amp; Dymchurch railway <br/> " Dungeness.
